1.         Colonel Tamojeet Biswas took over the command of Sainik School Nalanda with effect from 02 November 2020. He hails from Tripura and was commissioned in the Army Educational Corps from Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
on 12 June 1993. He is a true scholar warrior and holds three Post Graduate degrees, viz. MSc (Physics), MA (Psychology) and MEd. He is presently pursuing PhD in the field of Education. He is also an accomplished exponent of music and has undertaken formal training for six years.

2.         In his long and illustrious Military career, Col Biswas has held numerous prestigious command, staff and instructional appointments. As a newly commissioned officer, he did his attachment in the Kashmir Valley with a frontline Infantry Battalion. His staff appointments include being Staff Officer Education of a Mountain Brigade at Kashmir Valley and at Delhi. He tenanted the appointment of Education Officer at Rajput Regimental Centre and at Gorkha Training Centre. He also served as Adjutant and Instructor at Army Educational Corps Training College and Centre and as Colonel Education of a Corps HQ. He has commanded twice before by being the Principal of Military School Bangalore and Sainik School Bijapur. Prior to taking over as Principal at Sainik School Nalanda, Col Biswas served as Senior Instructor and Head of Academics Department at Officers Training Academy, Gaya. In recognition of his meritorious service and devotion to duty, he has been awarded General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Commendation Card twice in his career.

3.         Col Biswas is an avid golfer and an able horse rider. He loves playing all kinds of racquet sports and enjoys listening to music. He is married to Mrs Smita Biswas who is an educator in the field of History. The couple is blessed with a daughter, Kritika who is presently pursuing secondary education.
